Ground Penetrating Radar or GPR in Edmonton

Stone Concrete also offers ground penetrating radar services in Edmonton.  We use Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) on concrete floors, concrete slabs, walls, and many other concrete structures.  Ground-penetrating radar can locate both metallic and non-metallic objects situated in your structure.  Before cutting Concrete, use concrete Scanning; you must know what is within your Concrete before beginning any major work.  Suppose you do not understand what is behind or beneath your Concrete. In that case, the cost of concrete scanning or GPR is very much worth it as the cost of replacing potentially damaged utility lines can be astronomical.   Contact Stone Concrete for your next project that requires GPR!

We use Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to image concrete slabs and walls using high-frequency radar signals directed into the Concrete. When the radar signals reflect in the device, a clear, real-time image gets created. Using this image, we can also determine the concrete thickness and the exact spacing of the Concrete. The radar signals can penetrate up to 12” from one side, so this can be combined to examine 24” thicknesses when gaining access from both sides.

We utilize Hilti TS1000 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to scan Concrete up to 12 inches thick from one side, so this can be combined to examine up to 24” thicknesses when able to gain access both sides.  This service allows us to locate electrical utilities, pipelines, rebar, and other features within any concrete structure before we start the Cutting or coring process.  The Scanning also detects electromagnetic fields to a depth of 3-4 inches and sees flaws in concrete structures. We can scan for the absence of grout in concrete block walls and missing rebar. We can verify slab thickness and determine the depth of material cover on reinforcement.
